Oak Term 4


We continue with our book The Last Wild, and work on improving our newspaper report writing and poetry. This book also lends itself to great discussion based upon conscious decisions, friendship and leadership.

Area, perimeter and volume are on the agenda for our Maths lessons, as well as continually revising decimals, fractions and percentages to prepare for the SATS test in May.


As we are now teaming up with Year 4 and 5 for our topic lesson, it has been turned into an Art / Design and Technology topic. The children have been briefed into what a newly appointed Norman knight, fresh from his triumph at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, wants his new castle stronghold to look like.

After careful consideration, the children will begin building a scale model for him.


The role of a vicar is such an important role, not just in the church but also in the local community. We are going to consider what day to day activities look like for our local vicar, and write a job description advertising for a new reverend. 


The children are being put through their paces using indoor gymnastics equipment, and are improving their cardio and core strength through various body weight exercises - taught to a child's level.
